Oscar´s Birthday

Here is Oscar opening his presents on his birthday. Can you tell he likes trains? Granny and Grandpa Bodien gave him two books on trains.



We had a small party for Oscar. The kids sure liked the cake!


Last weekend Oscar and Tanya went up the mountains to watch our neighbor fly his glider plane.




Here is Oscar on his new bicycle. He just loves riding it.

Quinta de los Molinos park

In the beginning of March, Tanya and Oscar met our good friends, Yuko, Pablo and Akio for a picnic lunch in this park. We were a bit early to see all the Almonds in bloosem but it was pretty close to the peak time.

The kids and Pablo had a game of soccer while the Mom´s talked.


Bubbles are always a big hit with these kids.


It was hard to get the kids out of the park, home for their naptime once they discovered "Ring around rosie". It was a fun day!

Trip to Berlin

Miguel had a good flight to Berlin, so Tanya thought she would follow along. It had changed a lot in the last 7 years!
The last time Tanya had been here, this part of the city had been under a lot of construction (1998).

And of course, we had to stop to eat some brats. It was a bit cold and snowing.. The building behind us was the first subway station in Berlin.

Carnival at School!

Today (the 24 February) was carnival at Oscar´s school. He and his colleagues dressed up as bears because their class name is "The Little Bears" (Ositos). Tanya spent a couple frantic nights getting the costume done but the result was worth it. A bit big, but it will fit him for Halloween. How is that for thinking ahead??
